Historic residence, located at short distance from the marvellous town of Todi, in a charming place with breath-taking panoramic view of one of the most beautiful landscapes in Umbria. The property has been summer residence of the Bishops of Todi, in particular Ludovico Gualtiero, who commissioned its construction to the architect Ludovico Gattelli in 1763. Next to the property, there was a small church dedicated to Saint Girolamo. Set within a land of 2ha, the building is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, with a luxuriant garden rich in Mediterranean scents. Typical example of traditional architecture, the property boasts stone facades, handmade cotto pavements and chestnut wood beams. Among the peculiarities of this prestigious residence, we find the spectacular infinity heated swimming pool, in a unique position overlooking the Tiber Valley, with marvellous view. The main building is currently used as touristic facility and covers an area of 500sqm on three levels plus a basement floor of 170sqm, which is composed of an area for receipt of the goods, cellar, pantry, storage and gym with dressing room. The beautiful and refined living rooms overlook the porch, with view of the swimming pool and the surrounding countryside. The nine bedrooms, two of which are junior suites, offer large but intimate spaces, refined and informal. The large bathrooms are finished with mosaics and precious marbles. The property includes an annex, currently used as owners’ residence, of 117sqm on two levels: 61sqm at ground floor and 56sqm in the basement floor (three sides above ground).
